How many websites end with .com?

    Question #59319. Asked by dim_dude. (Sep 11 05 10:28 PM)

According to one site I looked at there were over 30 million registered domain names and just over half of those end in ".com".
But that was in 2000 and the number has gone up a little since then:

I dont know if the proportion of sites which are dotcoms has changed but VeriSign, who register all ".com" and ".net" names, are certainly raking in the money.
