What was Count Olaf formerly called?

There have been several Count Olafs in history but I suspect you mean this chap:

He clearly seems to have used many names with his disguises, but I can't see evidence of him having any name before Olaf.

if you are asking about the formerly described volunteers/villians it is jacques snicket

I think that is unlikely as Jacques Snicket was emistaken for Count Olaf in "Book the Seventh:The Vile Village" and was due to be burnt at the stake but the Count murdered him first and tried to frame the orphans for the crime.
Blimey, the stuff I read through to answer some of these!
