From these clues can you name the four animals in fiction: A hedgehog whom always sports an iron; He had a badger for a friend; An animal with a head at each end; What was the name of the hen that rabbit, hare and squirrel used to visit?

The hedgehog is Beatrix Potter's Mrs Tiggywinkle, one of my all-time favourites. Badger's mate was Rattie in Wind in the Willows (was it Rattie?) The head at each end is the Push-Me-Pull-You from Dr Dolittle, another favourite. And I have know idea about the hen - not Henny Penny was it?

Wasn't the hen the one who baked bread, and then refused to share with the various visitors, because they didn't help her with the various steps in baking the bread?

As for the animal with a head on each end, there is also a cartoon on TV that features "CatDog"... a rather strange creature indeed...

Yep, Henny Penny bakes bread, so it is not that one. Hmm.

    Ok...so, I found the following:
Henny Penny-The sky is falling story
    Little Red Hen-Bakes the bread
