Who was the famous French composer who in 1847 took up residence in a London street that also Wilkie Collins lived in for some time, and which is now best known as a habitat for doctors and surgeons?

    Question #59754. Asked by Flem-ish.

That would be Hector Berlioz, which I must say surprised me! 76 Harley St, to be precise. But then I was way off with Debussy, as he wasn't even born until 1862...maybe he just came to mind because we used to have a cat named Debussy (ha ha ha. My parents named him before I was even born, so I take no responsibility whatsoever for this horrible pun!)

Well, as can be seen at http://www.berlioz.com/London/BLHarley.html
Monsieur Jullien is part of the story too. And Harley Street 76 is now n° 27.
As to the yay it goes to *ing.
