I doubt this is the answer you are seeking but Lord Nelson's body was preserved while at sea in a cask of rum, some fiction has grown about this:

Let's look at what popular belief says.
Nelson suffered from seasickness. - True
Nelson wore an eye-patch. - False. He lost the sight of his right eye but neither he nor the statue on Nelson's Column have ever been seen with an eye patch.
Nelson disobeyed Admiral Hyde Parker at the Battle of Copenhagen, putting a telescope to his blind eye and saying "I see no ships". - True
Nelson had a flagrant affair with Lady Emma Hamilton. - True. He had one daughter, Horatia, by her but no legitimate children.
Nelson's last words were "Kiss me, Hardy". - False. According to witnesses he said this but they weren't his last words. Hardy wasn't there when he said it. He didn't say "Kismet" as the word wasn't in use to mean fate at that time.
Nelson was transported home in a barrel of rum. - Undecided. Brandy was more traditional (no not Napoleon Brandy) and it is thought unlikely that his men tapped the barrel on the way home as there was much respect for the man.
Nelson was an Admiral. - False. Strictly speaking, Nelson never reached higher than Vice Admiral.

At least that is according to:
