    		I wouldn't say they're the most famous people from the last century, but they would certainly rank among the most important.

    		I wrote "of the most famous" and they were certainly also "of the most important" as well. Their fame was particularly great in the years just after their first manned flight. Kings, presidents, and other heads of state all had their pictures taken with them.
