I have a pair of cufflinks, inherited from my uncle, that say "DPL 14K" on the shaft. I know the 14K means they're 14 Karat Gold. Does anybody know what the DPL means?

There is a company that specialises in Celtic and Claddagh jewellery called DPL International. I assume that is what it stands for.

The idea that they stand for a company name didn't occur to me... I had been wondering if their association with the "14K" meant something about the type of gold involved in the links. I assume that because the "14K" is there, that it means they are not "plated" but all gold.
