Just describing British germs it seems far more to come in waves of old or new versions, frequently from the far East, but isn't associated with any particular time, I've had it randomly from what I remember summer and winter, and didn't even know such a season existed. But I will see if I was wrong...

It might be different in the Southern Hemisphere, but up here in Canada we consider it flu season from October to March, when people typically spend more time indoors.
