I'm assuming that you are referring to the boundary dispute beween Ohio and the Michigan territory over a strip of land that included the site of Toledo. This took place in 1835. It was resolved by admitting Michigan to statehood on condition that it accept a boundary line giving the disputed land to Ohio, though as the article posted below points out, some people still think Toledo should belong to Michigan.
