Joe Namath, quarterback for the New York Jets in the 1970's, owned part of a restaurant/bar in New York City. Can you give me the name and street location of the restaurant?

Question #60515. Asked by DukeDawson. (Nov 12 05 8:55 PM)

Not sure about the exact street location, Duke, but it was called "Bachelor's III", on Lexington Avenue, on the Upper East Side.

Duke, I remember that particular incident, and I believe it was Bachelors lll, up on Lexington, but as I recall, it was '69. Seems it was Pete Rozelle who made him do it because the place became frequented by gamblers and Namath wanted to return to football after a month's retirement.

And yes, I can remember quaffing a few cold ones with Joe and friends back in the day.
