Part 2 is Malta, and I'll add it's amazing how many surnames appear to be uniquely Maltese given the size of the country. I can list many if you want!

Well, these are names I came across locally (mainly friends and acquaintances) and each appears to be uniquely Maltese.
Grech, Camilleri (both in my class at school), Pisani, Xerri, Busuttil (worked in local M&S), Mizzi, Mifsud and Agius, who were the owners of a motorbike shop later featured in the TV series Paddington Green. There are probably more but I can't remember them. But I am a name person so it's (literally in my case) up my street.
