    In most bigger countries, different areas have different accents, what is the American equivalent between the German Berlin accents and Swabian accent?

    Southern drawl is one common accent found mostly in the South East in which vowel sounds are stretched out as in "Aaalaabaamaa".

    In New England there is another common accent that makes the "a" vowel sound in words like "park", "car", and "Harvard yard" long.

    Also, westerners (texas, kansas, etc.) sound remarkably different than people from the south, and even more so from places like north dakota or wisconsin.
