The non-organized activity that we know as Lacrosse goes back to unwritten history in North America. However, the sport that we now recognize as organized Lacrosse can be pinpointed to Dr. Wm. Beers, the first to write the official rules and establish a Lacrosse club in Montreal, in 1856.
