    Do the citizens of East Jerusalem count as Israeli citizens?

    		There are some Arab communities in Israel who enjoy full Israeli citizenship. Also, many Arabs are by default exempt from doing Israeli military service. The people of east Jerusalem mostly have the option of becomming citizens, but most have chosen not to, in solidarity with Palestinian independence movements. All that said, east Jerusalem is not a breeding ground for terrorists, and its residents are generally not inclined to inflict harm upon their western neighbors.
