North Korea is mainly closed to foreign tourism, but it is not completely closed to foreign visitors. However, other areas are closed for military purposes. The Aceh province of Indonesia was closed until the tsunami accident. Some islands of India are closed to tourism for military reasons. I would like more information about such areas.

It seems as if it is possible to visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islads, but you need a special permit. You also need a special permit to visit several other areas of f.ex. India, China, Kazakhstan, Russia etc.
