    It was recorded in 1908:

1908 78 RPM record of Concerto for Two Violins by Fritz Kreisler and Efrem Zimbalist, accompanied by a string quartet. Victrola label 8040, dated August 11, 1908. Song spans both sides of the record. The record itself is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. No visible scratches or wear. I don't have a turntable that can play 78 RPM, but the record looks as though it would play very well. Still in the original paper sleeve. Sleeve is somewhat wrinkled and has one tear, visible in photo.

Players were also famous because they couldn't stand each other, and only joined to rehearse and play. In hotels they took separate rooms and never ate together.
