The titles of what are probably a certain British author's best known six books begin with the first five letters of the alphabet and one of those titles inspired the name of a 60s pop group. Who is the writer, which are the books and what was the group's name?

A stab here, but I'll go for Aldous Huxley's books and the pop group 'The Doors'.
-Antic Hay
-Brave New World
-Crome Yellow
-Doors of Perception
-Eyeless in Gaza
Yay, peasy. That was the writer, that was the group and those (plus "Devils of Loudun") were the books I had in mind.
All except "Crome Yellow" and "The Devils" seem to be quotes from elsewhere.
