Mainly, Hendrix used a right-handed Stratocaster,(strats being his favs) upside down and he restrung his guitars so that the heavier strings were at the top of the neck. The only left handed guitar I know is his famous 1969 Gibson Flying V .. Gibson designed and made it especially for him, Serial number 849476. Jimi had 3 Flying V’s, the 3rd and last one was his leftie. (the first was famous for him painting it with psychedelic patterns.)On pics you see him playing a few different gibsons but they all seem to be right handed.
