    I just read about this in the paper yesterday. Very very clumsy...pesky shoelaces.

    Excellent, peasy. Though whoever decided to keep those Qing vases on a windowsill on a staircase should be beaten with a soggy guidebook.

    This article discusses a few other art world disasters -- though it is true that some Greek and Roman vases smashed into hundreds of pieces have been amazingly well restored.
