Bingo! Most people guess Tom and Jerry. Barney is known as Barney Gomez, most of the other characters have the same name.

What was the name of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that was presented as a segment of 'Peter Patamus and His Magic Flying Balloon' where the characters had to serve someone? Who did the characters serve and what did they find themselves fighting?

There was a TV show for kids, I think it was made in the 80s. It wasn't a cartoon. The show had animal characters but they were real actors dressed up in costumes. The only characters I can remember are a cockatiel and some type of cat. Does anyone have any idea what the show could be?

Can anyone identify a cartoon character for me? I have the image in mind of a short, old guy with a gigantic hat, a bristle moustache, short stature. I thought he was one of Li'l Abner's characters or one of Popeye's characters, but a search of both websites nixed that idea. The image I have says "Maw's Problem." He seems to be associated with moonshine in some manner.
