Just how many types of monkeys are tailless (like Curious George)?

I don't know of any true monkeys that are tailless, although some macaques, like the stumptail, pigtail and Celebes, have very short tails (the Celebes macaque has a tail only 2 cm long.) Apes, however, have no tails- one of the features that distinguishes them from monkeys. Edited to add- apparently the Barbary macaque is tailless, so there is one! Feb 09 06, 11:53 PM
