No. I read the DaVinci Code first, and I had no problem following the story. They are completely separate other than the characters.

Not exactly, but its probably a good idea to read Angel's and Demons first.

I think that Dan Brown did a wonderful job writing the stories that he did, and also did a great job on writing the two stories so they were connected yet not...I guess I could also say that I know from experience because I read all the books out of order.
