How many species of animals does Asia have?

They discovered a new species of sort of large ratty thing in somewhere like Vietnam last year. Well, the scientists discovered it. The locals had been eating them for years. If there's things that big - sort of badgery size or not far off - what else remains undiscovered to science? And don't forget that 'animal' doesn't just include cute (or sharp-toothed) furry things.
