Davy Crockett. He represented Tennessee in the U.S. Congress, served in the Texas rebellion, and died at the Alamo.
Davy Crockett named his favorite rifle "old Betsy" it was a gift from the people of Tennessee, When he came to Texas he left it at his home there. "Old Betsy" now resides in the Alamo Chapel in San Antonio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Crockett
