When it comes to the introduction of fish species into areas that they weren't intended to go, it is refered to as Bucket Biology where I am from.

I'm going to plump for bioengineering as the successful introduction of exotica, alien or non-indigenous species.

The terminology associated with introduced species is presently in flux for a variety of reasons. Other terms that are used sometimes interchangeably (having the same or similar meanings) with introduced are acclimatized, adventive, alien, bioinvasive, exotic, escaped, feral, foreign, invasive, non-native, naturalized, immigrant, non-indigenous, and xenobiotic.
