Well, for a start there's the erhu http://www.philmultic.com/home/instruments/erhu.html, then there's the horsehead fiddle, the dombra (or dutar), the jinghu, the Saw U (or Saw Duang), the chapay, the Çifteli, some sorts of gusla, the tobsuur, the tror so, the haegum, the auto-drone, some rebabs, the dan nguyet, the tro u, the ravanastron, the dan nhi, the da guang sian, the igil and many more. Mostly from the Far East, but some from the Middle East, and one - the gusla - at least formerly used in the Balkans. One apparently American - the auto-drone.
