Kanga and Baby Roo were definitely in AA Milne's original masterpieces. The "Heffalump", while not actually manifesting itself as a character, was the object of a Cunning Trap by Pooh, but of course it all went wrong and, while Piglet was convinced that the "Heffable Horralump" was in The Pit, it was only Pooh with his head stuck in the Hunny Jar.

It was the gopher! In Disney's movie version of this book, the Gopher always ends with "Ya know I'm not in the book you know" or something like that!

The question says "original two books" and the correct answer is Kanga, and of course Roo. The gang, except Tigger because he doesn't come to the forest until the sixth book, come up with a plan to steal baby Roo and put Piglet in his place and tell Kanga that they will tell her where baby Roo is if she promises to leave the forest.
Heffalumps were not created by Disney, A.A. Milne talks about them, and woozles, in the first book. I went back and read them I have all 8 first books he wrote, my sister found them for me at a garage sale.
Oh, and the gopher was a character added by Disney.
