    In hiragana what is the clue for remembering how to write chi'?

    		Oh, chi often causes problems...it's easy to confuse with sa and ki. There are various mnemonic devices (little stories and drawings) for remembering hiragana. When I was teaching Japanese I would let the classes make up their own stories for each one as I found that made it easier for them to remember.

    		And I think 'cheap' is a standard one for chi. It looks like a 5 and $5 is cheap.
