Er, what makes you think acesulfame potassium is poison? Are you confusing it with potassium chloride, a Death Row cocktail?
Although I'm not an advocate for artificial sweeteners, I'm pretty sure there would be a line-up of lawyers ready to help all those poor souls if it were that dangerous.

I've never checked acesulfame, but I can dig up reams on aspartame. Don't start me off...

Aspartame is just as poisonous. I can literally taste it for 2 days upon consuming it. So I do not.
If you want an alternate sweetener try crystaline fructose. It is wonderful.
