According to the Biography Channel his first novel was 'Rage.' It was not printed until 1977 and only because of King's persistence. This book later sparked controversy after a student mimicked the book and took his school hostage. Because of this, King has prohibited any further printings of 'Rage.' However 'Blaze' was written before 'Carrie' and it was now just published.
