    		The Duquesne Dukes of Duquesne University play most Division I sports in the Atlantic 10 conference. Their basketball team has had success in the past, playing twice in national championship games in the 1950's, winning the NIT in 1955. The Dukes basketball program can also claim the first African-American player selected by an NBA draft.

    Duquesne plays football in the Division I-AA Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, winning almost a dozen conference titles. The team also had success in the past, going to the Orange Bowl in the 1940's.
