Can anyone tell me the answer to this, in American football the winners of the Super Bowl get the rings for winning. What I would like to know is what the losers get, do they get a ring or do they get nothing?

    Question #63282. Asked by jill-geo. (Mar 09 06 2:29 PM)

Yes, the losers of a Superbowl also get a ring.

The losers of the superbowl do NOT get a ring, but....the winner in both confrences(AFC/NFC) get rings for the conference championship......so, the super bowl champs have 2 rings.......

deuceu72 please read my site closely.

It says clearly that both teams get Conference Championship rings, and then it says just as clearly:

"Everyone who has participated in a super bowl game, winners or losers, gets a super bowl ring."

If you know of a site that says that the losers don't get Superbowl rings please share it.

    mementoflash,

This is off your website. There are several different answers.

(The loser of a Super Bowl recieves a conference championship ring. For example, the Eagles lost the most recent Super Bowl. They still are the NFC Conference Champion, and recieve a ring for that.)
The winners of the CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS get a ring so in reality, both teams that played in the super bowl do have a ring to show for it, but the ACTUAL loser of the super bowl does not get a ring.

How many sports do you know of that give a ring or trophy or medal for losing???

So, bottom line...........The winner of the Super Bowl has 2 rings........One for the Conference championship and one for the superbowl. The loser of the super bowl still has a ring(conference championship) so, you could say that everyone who participated in the super bowl has a ring, but only the winners have 2. That is the correct answer.
