What's interesting about this is that when "Star Wars" first came out, I understood that it was the first movie of a planned nine-movie group... e.g. the first trilogy ("A New Hope" etc.) was the middle trilogy of three trilogies... The most recent set of three movies are the "prequel"... Of course, I haven't heard anything about plans for another trilogy for a very long time now... Star Wars (A New Hope) was episode IV, Followed by: The Empire Strikes Back Episode V Return of the Jedi Episode VI The Phantom Menace Episode I The Clone Wars Episode II Revenge of the Sith Episode III The director was recently asked if he would continue with the last three books in the series and he at this point in time has declined production.
