A song still known to most people, but very few actually sing it, came from a musical drama written by someone who died while American consul in Tunis. Can you name the song, the musical drama and the writer?

The musical was 'Clari' or the 'Maid of Milan'. The song was 'Home Sweet Home' (and you're right about most people being aware of it but no-one actually singing it!) The songwriter was John Howard Payne.

A very rapid Yay!! for Maggie. I don't think the show's been performed for a very long time, but everyone knows that song...
