Were any manned moon missions landed on the far side?

Temperatures ranging between 100ºC in the heat of the full sun, and -173ºC in the middle of the lunar night. The term "dark side" is just a common term, it does not mean it is dark, nor did I claim that. Since the moon rotates on its axis at the same rate that is revolves the Earth, we always see the same half. These pictures are of the other half, however it is not really the "dark side" of the moon, although it is often refered to as such. The dark side is just whichever side faces away from the sun. Sometimes it's the side facing us, when the moon phase is new moon, sometimes it's the other side. Mar 11 06, 8:01 PM

Depending on where the CMP would be at any given time, it might be possible to send signals through the command module to Earth from the far side of the moon. But landing there would still not be the smartest thing, as most of the time there is no way to send a signal from there back to Earth. Mar 12 06, 7:37 AM
