I read that you shouldn't drink more than 1½ quarts of water an hour or more than 12 quarts a day, but how much (preferably in ml) is a quart?

one ounce is equal to 29.57353 ml
one Imperial quart is 40 ounces, therefore, one imperial quart equals 1182.94 ml
one US quart is 32 ounces, therefore, one US quart equals 946.35 ml

The Imperial fluid ounce is actually a little less than the US fluid ounce. So the Imperial quart is actually only 1136.52 millilitres.
You can verify this with the Google calculator.
