Yes, she was definitely 12 years old. I am a big fan and have watched the move "The Coal Miners Daughter" about a million times, (ok, maybe NOT THAT many), but know it almost inside and out. The thing that really blew my mind was this exact question! When I realized that she WAS only 12 when she first got married, I almost had a cardiac arrest!
