Is it true that people of the Negroid race make bad swimmers due to the fact that their bones are more dense than the other races of the world and have a tendency to sink?

The bone density argument is a generally accepted fallacy. Bones usually make up less than 20% of your body weight, and a density 20% above normal will result in a weight 4% higher, or 6 pounds in a 150-pound person, which is as much as you will put on in one day at Disneyland! So the answer is : no, it is not true.

Good Job JSB, the bone density theory is not true. But, members of the african race do have a harder time floating, or treading water than the caucasian races. This is due to their musculature and their muscle-to-fat ratioes. The average percent body fat in a 30-year-old is higher in almost all caucasian races, and this allows them, as a general rule, to float more easily, and therefore tread water for longer periods of time with less effort. However any person who has a body fat percentage less than 10% will experience the same difficulties floating!!
