Received, rather than yielded surely. Hungary 'yielded' them (involuntarily).

Hang on - during the Revolution as opposed to the Soviet invasion many fled to Austria because they were in danger through their membership of or association with the secret police. Interesting that they didn't flee to the USSR. Very few others left during the early part of the Revolution. Later, most countries set limits on the immigration by refugees, except for Canada.
22,000 ended up in the UK, 40,000 in Canada, and 80,000 in the USA.
