The Nobel medal "Genius of Medicine" does not have a specific name. The inscription, however, is a very loose paraphrase from Virgil's "Aeneid": "Inventus vitam juvat excoluisse per artes" -- "Inventions enhance life which is beautified through art."
These are just a few of the pioneers of medicine and surgery. These pioneers developed hormones, anesthetics, antiseptics and antibiotics and more. I hope the biographies are interesting and informative.
