    Is there any reason in particular why an abnormally large number of the presidents of the United States hail from the state of Virginia?

    		There really is a reason why so many were from Virginia and if you look at the list, you'll notice many Virginians were presidents very early on in US history. As in when we were not as many states, plus, four of the first five were activists directly involved in our struggle for independence. Note that several are from the Carolinas, Massachsetts and New York, as well; all original colonies.
