According to something I read somewhere, astronaut Alan Shepherd took peanuts with him into space; if this is true, it is extremely important to know how far into space did these peanuts go, when were they eaten, and were they salted or plain?

It was a Chez Jay house peanut that Alan Shephard took on his Apollo 14 mission, which landed on the moon. It used to be on open display at Chez Jay’s, until Steve McQueen nearly ate it in the 1970’s.
The peanuts served at the bar are roasted in the shell and not too salty.
