Sitting here watching a blackbird flying up and pecking at a fatball as it passes it, I was led to wonder: is there a word for the reverse of divebombing?

I was looking for something with an element of violence in it, as divebombing does. They are hitting the fatball with some force - or they were, as it's dark now. Soaring is gentle, and rocketing tends to carry on rather than return suddenly. [All together: Isn't he awkward, that Baloo?]

Having checked several on-line thesauri, I would be inclined to say there isn't one.

Perhaps it's time we had one.
