    Um, no. You'll find that Dr. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin did not invent the guillotine, and also did not die from execution.

    No, not yet, mochyn dear, I'll give em a little more time. ;)

    By the way, the term garotte was more likely derived from the Spanish word for cudgel (the wooden bar that was used to tighten the rope), or the French word garoquier, to struggle, rather than named after a person.
