I've had no success building this up from letters suggested in the clue such as "set" (TV), "C" (100), "o" (love) or the various things suggested by "notes". I think it must relate to some past commercial but the reference escapes me. It may not help but here are some four-letter confectionery items: Mint, Kiss, Aero, Twix, Mars, Rolo, Oreo.
