I've heard the Italian/Yiddish word "schleppando" used as a musical instruction. But is there a proper Italian translation for the word "chutzpah"? (The word means audacity, guts, brashness and cheek all in one.)

One word that can express audacity, impudence, boldness, and cheek is "sfrontatezza." If you're commenting on someone's cheek, either admiringly or disparagingly, you can say "Che faccia tosta!"
I suspect that the various dialects have their own special idioms for this.

Thanks. I actually wanted to include the word in a tempo/mood instruction for a fugue I was writing ("Moderato ma con sfrontatezza").
