    What is the only citrus fruit that does not belong to the genus citrus? Eaten whole, its skin is sweet and its flesh tart.

    		Apparently none if it does not belong in the citrus genus!

    		It's a kumquat. Not actually a real citrus (unless you've got one of the citrus fruits that look like a kumquat instead of the real thing), but at first sight it resembles them. Genus is Fortunella. http://sc.essortment.com/whatisakumqua_rkpk.htm and for pics:
