Which are the largest stock markets?

    Question #64582. Asked by almanac23. (Apr 12 06 4:32 PM)

    TabbyTom

Measured by market capitalization (i.e. the total value of all outstanding shares in all companies listed on the exchange), the four largest are New York, NASDAQ, Tokyo and London. In terms of volume of trading, London may rank ahead of Tokyo.

This webpage is a little out of date, but the relative rankings of the top exchanges hasn’t changed.
