    A standard temp and pressure Mercury does not have "strength". It is a liquid.

    To qualify this question one must have further parameters.

    Are we speaking tensile strength? Stretch strength? Compression strength? Burst strength?

    After all the strongest substance known to mankind by weight is the spiders silk.

    Are we speaking in terms of equal weights of said materials fashioned int oa specific shape? Or are we talking about a designated shape and size such as a 1 inch x 1 inch x 6 inch round rod?

    What type of plastic, wood, glass?

    For practical purposes HAILEYS_MOM is correct.
