Which UK top ten punk cover of the theme tune of a fictional pop band ended with the band saying "see you all in the year 2000"?

Question #64770. Asked by gmackematix. (Apr 18 06 7:52 PM)

    Br.John

The Dickies said that after covering the theme from the Banana Splits on 1990's Live In London Locked and Loaded CD/Album. What an amazing band, a little too wound up for most people but great tight Hooky West Coast Punk/Pop.

Yay Br John! And I gather the "Tra La La" theme was written by a man called Mook, who also wrote that mod classic "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?".
